STICKY SITUATION NUMBER 4:
THE WORK CHRISTMAS PARTY

You are paid to spend time with them, but outside of the world of work do you have that much in common with your work colleagues?! Add some alcohol, festive cheer and cringe-worthy dance moves from your boss, your work 'Christmas do' could host a series of sticky situations!

Here is the PUDZ Girlz Guide to escape your work festive frolics unscathed…

1. Resist the urge to take a rain check

This may be the event that you are dreading, but don't pull out! Being a no-show will have you labelled dull and/or antisocial quicker than it takes you to decide which PUDZ flavour you want to eat.

2. Avoid hitting the free bar too hard

Living down last year's impromptu, drunken karaoke was uncomfortable enough so let your lesson be learned - getting merry on the mulled wine is fine, but being the one carried out of the venue is not! At best it will put a stop to that promotion and at worst Santa could be dropping off a P45 this Christmas….

3. Don't stand too close to the mistletoe

The office letch is on the lookout for a Christmas kiss so it is essential that you do not find yourself drifting under any twigs or berries; even if 'Lonely this Christmas' is blaring out and you are feeling a little teary!

4. Don't get too comfortable

Yes, it's a party but the key thing to remember is that it is a work one! If Brenda from accounts is not privy to the more intimate details of your love life this is not the time to discuss it - save it for cocktails with the girls!

5. Do try to see the advantages

Having an informal chat with some colleagues could turn out to be beneficial for your career. You will be following the four previous points and can be sure that most of your colleagues won't be, giving you the chance to shine and leave the post party gossip to others!

Finally, ensure that you have a PUDZ treat waiting in the fridge at home. With new winter varieties to delve into such as Luxurious Lemon Sponge with Red Berry Sauce and Seriously Sticky Ginger, you will soon forget your Christmas work party (and if you failed to adhere to point two, it will help ease that hangover)!
